Betul, jawapan menteri kewangan itu salah. TETAPI setelah 51 tahun kita merdeka ada juga kaum-kaum di malaysia ini yang tidak dapat menulis bahasa Malaysia dengan betul!

sector ?? ini bahasa apa?
industry ?? ini bahasa apa?
factor ?? ini bahasa apa??

Kenapa perlu penterjemah ke bahasa Malaysia ? YB tidak boleh berbahasa Malaysia kah? YB ini rakyat malaysiakah?

Saya bersetuju dengan En Mohd Noor Haji Jaafar 100%. Jadinya Dasar Ekonomi Baru bukanlah satu dasar yang serius dimana kerajaan perlu diikuti.

Inilah Umno/BN. Dasar 30% penyertaan bumiputra dalam pelbagai sektor hanya mainan mereka. Jika ia menguntungkan politiknya dasar tersebut tidak pelu diikuti. Jika tidak pasti mereka akan berbuat sesuatu. Ini menunjukkan mereka tidak ikhlas dan serius dalam mengamalkan dasar tersebut.

30% Bumiputra participation when it suits teh BN. AIA has been operating in Malaysia for at least more than 10 years and yet until now no Bumiputra participation of 30%.

So the 30% was not mandatory. Please take note that AIA is a Jewish based company in America.

BN is bullshitting all the times. The rules of the games have been changed all the time! Therefore, the Government was never serious in enforcing the national policies when it suits them.

you cannot expect in depth answers from the BN ministers, mostly. the answer given is too general and of tingkatan lima standard tops

anyway, without local shareholding and ownership, so where are the advocates & defenders of 30% bumi shareholding?

I suppose the point YB is driving at is lack of local participation would result in less consideration for the locals as well as no net inflow of profits back into Malaysia. However, if we were to emergence as a competitive destination for financial centre, too stringent shareholding requirement could drive investors to Singapore and Hong Kong which are more liberal in these areas.

A fine balance, which is difficult, is necessary
