Negeri Sembilan ruler Tuanku Ja’afar Tuanku Abdul Rahman passed away at about 11.45 this morning. He was 86 years old.

Abdullah Badawi had made it clear that he will be stepping down as Prime Minister in March 2009. He had also promised that he will be initiating some reforms that were sought after by the rakyat before he leaves office.

On 9 December 2008 I blogged that Proton had been sued by Goldstar Heavy Industrial in China (I was right about the amount, not the currency). Proton chose to remain silent until today 17 December 2008.

This morning the government saw it fit to table a new Bill known as “Ruang Undang-undang Perlindungan Saksi 2008″ (Witness Protection Bill 2008). I don’t understand why there is such a rush to table such an important Bill without giving MPs sufficient time to prepare for the debate.
